Music City Motion

August 1, 2006 will be the final class in the Music City Motion studio. Sarah and I have decided that it is time for us to focus our attention on other aspects of our life together. For over four years it has been an honor to be such an integral part of building the swing dance scene in Nashville. We have made incredible friends and have seen some wonderful dancers born.

This is a sad decision for us to make, we have loved sharing our passion for Lindy Hop and Balboa through the studio but this chapter in our dancing is over. New leadership has arisen to continue building this scene and our departure will only make more room for them to grow and blossom.

Starting this August, a new studio will exist where Music City Motion was. Reuel Reis will be using the space to run his own lessons and dance events with Abigail Browning. If you do not already know Reuel, he is an excellent dancer, a wonderful person and a great teacher. His organization will certainly be vital to the growth of Lindy Hop in Nashville.

We aren't leaving Nashville yet and Music City Motion will still exist, just not as a studio. Life has gotten too crazy for that. We'll still be out dancing and teaching, privately out of our home and at weekend events. And we still plan to bring the occasional weekend workshop to the Music City.
