The Class List
The Madison - A very fine line dance. This goofy little
ditty is accessible as it is fun.
So a waiter steps
on a rollerskate... - Sliding, spinning, and catching all
the flying plates. This is an intermediate Balboa level class.
Lindy--Fast and
Deadly aka
Jumping, kicking, flying through the air and landing on people.
involving *simple* lifts, classic Whitey's Charleston patterns, and
show-offs for gals and guys...
Solo Jazz Movement
and Charleston - An intermediate level solo jazz movement
(like the title) class with all the high stepping and ankle twisting
action of charleston.
*The Lindy Continuum
- Let's explore this continuum of swingout techniques and styles
ranging from modern to savoy to hollywood. An intense class, but very
enlightening.
Attention To Detail - Connection play and playing off your partner.
Following and Leading Symposium
- One part lecture, one part demonstration, and one part try it for
yourself. No guarantee that the instructors will be able to contain
their passion. It sort of comes boiling out.
Charleston Side by Tandem and Back - Come let's explore this root dance of Lindy Hop from inside of Lindy Hop and all the wonders Charleston can impart.
Smooth Sailin' - Slick movements and playful steps for use with the groovier side of swing music, served straight up or on the rocks.
Flow - Ever notice how
some people look (or feel) like they're doing one really long move
instead of a lot of little ones? Warning: the ancient forbidden secrets
of flow might permanently change the way you dance.
Jazz Out! - Yeah, we all know you're supposed to be able to put jazz steps into your Lindy -- and here's how; from simple to "yowza".
Pure Balboa Bliss - Like the name says. It's like candy, only it's Balboa!
Conversational Lindy Hop - Let's make your social dances as satisfying as a good conversation. Walk away and ask yourself "wow, how did we get there?"
Looks Good Feels Great - Gushy, strechy, yummy moves.
New Orleans Style - The flavor of the South.
Connection Revisited - A rockin class with boring title. This class makes your dancing work.
Quality Control - Moving your body to creating lines and shapes with your partner.
Hip Hop - A fun routine to explore the joys of moving your body.
Gettin' Down when the music Picks Up - Fast and fun moves for Lindy Hoppers.
Plus we're working on
making an incredible History presentation possible. We have a few
technical hurdles but keep your fingers crossed.
* You will need to know how to do swingout extremely
well to get the most out of these classes
